These mini-burgers are yummy party appetizers for any celebration. Make them ahead of time & broil them the day of the party. They will stay fresh in the refrigerator until ready to broil. Be sure to get small plum tomatoes so the slices will fit well on the small burgers. We’ve add a pickle for color, you can add just about anything to this fun recipe and for a real flair, use party picks to match your party theme.

What You Need
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 t minced onion
1 t garlic powder
1/4 t salt
1/4 t pepper
4 (1 oz) American cheese slices, quartered
8 slices of toasted white bread trim crust and quartered
2 small plum tomatoes, sliced thin
16 hamburger pickle slices
How to Make It:
Turn the oven broiler on and allow it to heat.
Crumble the meat into a large mixing bowl.
Add the onion, garlic powder, salt and pepper to the meat.
Mix all the ingredients together well with your hands.
Shape the meat mixing into sixteen bite size patties.
Place the patties on a broiler pan.
Broil 6 in from the heat for 8 minutes turning once and being sure the patties are cooked through before removing.
Remove the burgers and place a quarter slice of cheese on top of each burger.
We’ve shown the burgers on a small slice of french bread topped with a pickle, but you can also serve them with the toast quarters, tomato, pickle and other condiments on the side.
